Our goal is to support people in the poorest regions of the world with mobility. Mobility is multifaceted: It secures livelihoods, enables education, gives people hope, helps overcome distances and saves lives in emergencies. Our idea of solidarity is therefore "Mobility is shareable".
MIVA AUSTRIA
About us
MIVA Austria is a relief organisation of the Catholic Church. Its task is to finance means of transport of all kinds for use in missions and development aid: cars or off-road vehicles, motorbikes, bicycles, tractors, agricultural equipment, and occasionally also boats, mobility aids or pack animals, depending on requirements.
MIVA is based at ChristophorusHaus in Stadl-Paura, Upper Austria. It is an innovative passive house designed as a house where human interaction and dialogue take place. In addition to MIVA, it is also home to MIVA's procurement company (BBM), a non-profit service provider, procurement company and trading partner for dedicated people in the poorest countries of the world.

donation counts
Transparency and trust have the highest priority for us and are our daily benchmark. MIVA has been awarded the Austrian seal of approval for donations. The fulfilment of the criteria is checked annually by an external institute. In the MIVA Annual Report you can find out how your donation is making an impact in the numerous MIVA projects in around 60 countries.
